In other news...

week 26, day 6

I now officially look pregnant rather than fat!!! (I had my first stranger guessing I was pregnant yesterday at the supermarket, I was reminding Coyote to go and get some lemsip for his cold, and the checkout attendant looked at me pointedly and asked if it was for me, I promised it wasn't, and she asked me when I was due)

It's not just me, my bump really is quite big, the midwife measured my bump (and will continue to do so till birth to check if baby is growing properly) and my bump is on the high side of normal, which is much much better than being too small.

My tummy button is increasingly becoming less of an "inny" and becoming more of an "outy".

In a couple of weeks I've got to have a glucose tolerance test to check for gestational diabetes's, which means I've got to fast from midnight, then go to the hospital, have a blood test, drink a horrible sugary drink (or a liter of lucozade, which I'd prefer not to do) and wait two hours and then have _another_ blood test. I'm also meant to ask if they could do the normal 28 week blood tests...I'm going to be a painful pincushion! I am not looking forward to this.

Midwife's appointments continue to come and go with everything testing as absolutely normal, normal blood pressure, normal heart rate (for me and baby) and normal urine tests.

I had a tiny amount more spotting, which was scary, but again, there was no pain and baby was still moving fine, and it stopped really quickly...so I just ignored it pretty much. Though I really wish my body would stop doing it! it's scary!

I haven't had any morning sickness in a long time now, it just sort of slowly died out.

My boobs are still getting bigger, but at a slower rate, and now my nipples are huge and very dark, and I've started getting tiny bits of milk coming out.

I'm starting swimming next week! I will get fitter before the birth!

I want to get a tattoo to celebrate when baby comes, but apparently it's not a good idea to get a tattoo while you are pregnant, or for 6 months after birth, all of which just makes me want a tattoo right now! curses!
